Plymouth community

Convent in Plymouth began in 2018, blessed by Bishop Mark O'Toole. This community was established in response to the invitation of the Bishop to support the Cathedral Parish in Plymouth, especially to help in the sacristy, to prepare the altar for various liturgical occasions, to have an active participation in the pastoral needs of the faithful including visit of sick and the house bound and administering communion to them, and moreover to have prayerful presence of religious as a witness to the divine love and mercy of our Lord in and around the parish. Besides this, reading the signs of time and locality sisters find time to meet with people on the streets who are vulnerable and who do not know Jesus, speak to them, listen them as part of evangelization programmed and make Jesus known to them. Sisters also are engaged in the teaching of Catechism to Asian British Catholics of the area corresponding to the apostolate of education of youth/ faith formation.
